Let's cook: oyakodon

Oyako… what? Oyakodon, that is a donburi – a big bowl of rice with garnish – with chicken and eggs: let’s cook!

Ingredients for 4

  • 2 fillets of chicken
  • 8 eggs
  • 4 bowls of rice
  • 1 leek
  • kizami-nori
  • 700ml katsudon sauce

 

What to do now?

  1. Bring the katsudon sauce to boil in a saucepan.
  2. Mince the leek and wash it under water.
  3. Cut the chicken in 3cm dices.
  4. Put a quarter of the leek in a quarter of the sauce.
  5. Put a quarter of the chicken dices in a pan with the sauce and leek. 
  6. Heat for a few minutes.
  7. Batter 2 eggs and add them in the pan.
  8. Put rice in a bowl.
  9. Pour the content of the pan over the rice.
  10. Sprinkle with nori.
  11. Do it all again for the 3 other oyakodon.
