Nicknamed “Urobutcher” by his fans for his dark style, nihilistic themes, and tragic plot twists, Gen UROBUCHI is a writer whose talent shines in visual novels, light novels, and anime.
He’s been writing novels since 2004 and he’s most famous for Fate/Zero, a light novel that was adapted as an anime in 2011. He had already started writing for anime, among which the successful Puella Magi Madoka Magica.
He wrote his first live action series with Kamen Rider Gaim, currently airing on television, and his first original movie, Expelled from Paradise, is slated for release in Japan in November 2014.
He's meeting you at Japan Expo in late August for a conference and signings.
